Who is MSA Safety?
Established in 1914, MSA Safety Incorporated is the global leader in the development, manufacture and supply of safety products that protect people and facility infrastructures. One of the company’s core focuses is fall protection and, with the acquisition of Latchways Plc in 2015, MSA established their Fall Protection Centre of Excellence in Devizes, Wiltshire. This is a hub for the design, manufacture and distribution of safety equipment in the UK.
Employing more than 4,500 people worldwide, its annual revenue was almost $1.36 billion in 2018 – a 13 percent increase from 2017 on a reported basis and 8 percent on an organic constant currency basis.
First and foremost, MSA’s mission is to help men and women who work in dangerous situations and hazardous conditions return home safely to their families at the end of each day. When it comes to to the UK’s construction industry, MSA encourage all stakeholders in the fall protection chain to ensure that the very highest work at height safety standards are met, from specification and installation to competent and confident end-users. Strong links save lives and as an industry MSA believes that architects, designers, contractors and installers have a collective responsibility to help reduce the number of injuries and fatalities caused by falls from height.
